“Drones from the Evenfall of Mankind” is a dystopic album, musically depicting the last years, days or minutes of mankind on earth.Most tracks have a destructive edge to them - noisy soundscapes, voices or instruments sounding broken in different ways and an overall mood of despair, facing the consequences of our abuse of our lives on this planet. However, there are also moents of quiet remembrance and mourning of what has been lost.
The release of this album will not change anything, but as an artist I had to let out my growing frustrations and anxiety, if only to the benefit of myself. Should the listener feel a need to go out and make an effort to end war, climatechanges or global inequality, it will be a welcome sideeffect.

I had a night vision.
I saw that there´s a last time for everything.

A last time to play the blues on your trashophone, while hot rain is pouring down from above.

Or for Faut Marit to gather with friends in Övdalim.
A last time to play THAT tune.

A last time for a dance.
Now all mankind is gathered in The Downfall Club, dancing around their own funeral pyre.
Ready to dive in, one by one.
Last rounds.

There´s a last time for singing too.
And choirs perform a broken Requiem and an elegy for the lost lakes.
The last stroll around the dry lake.
At another place water is abundant and hills are turned into islands.

Soon the sparrows will try to escape into outer space, because there´s no room for them here anymore.
So there´s a last time for birdsong too.

Oh yes…. I wish, that I had spoken only of it all, as Gertrude Stein put it.
And sooner.

Now - I listen to the final strains.
Drones from the evenfall of mankind.
There´s a last time to be human.
And to breathe.
